Hi my lovelies!
So who doesn’t have darkness underneath their eyes or spots or pigmentation? And who doesn’t like to cover those suckers up? We all know that concealer is the perfect way to achieve that flawless coveted skin but it can be quite hard to find a concealer that actually works for you.
The product comes in a rectangular hard plastic tube with a sponge applicator, much like the Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer. I believe it comes in six different shades and is retailed for $6.49 on the Maybelline website. The website claims that ‘Skin looks perfected with this natural coverage concealer for zero flaws and blemishes’.
This concealer has both, the right consistency and coverage to perfectly conceal away your imperfections without being too heavy on your face. I would say it has medium but build-able, yet natural looking coverage. I have combination to oily skin so I definitely have to set my face with powder. It doesn’t make me look cakey, however, I do notice that the concealer creases underneath my eyes, which is a shame considering how well it covers up my darkness. Although it would be worth to note that my eyes naturally have a couple of fine lines underneath them (no I’m not old and no they aren’t wrinkles, they’ve been there forever) so concealers do crease easy on me.
I use the shade 20 for my my dark circles and to spot conceal around my face, if needed. (I’m an NC 20 per MAC shades- Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation to be exact). This shade is perfect for my yellow undertones to cover up any spots and pigmentation around my face and has just the right amount coverage to conceal my dark circles. Nonetheless, I do think that the colour range is not too vast for those with darker skin tones (only two deeper shades) and so our darker beauties might face an issue with finding the right colour for themselves.
9/10. I love it and use it everyday. Holy grail definitely! I use the shade 20 along with the Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer in Light to highlight under my eyes (yes, the Kim K triangle) and the high points of my face. Let me know if you would be interested to read an in-depth concealer routine. I’d be more than happy to write!
