Hello gorgeous readers! How are you all doing?
Okay, so remember when I said that I forgot to post one of my very first written blogposts on the MAC Fix+? Well, this is it.
First of all, I’d like to address the common misconception people have with this product. Yes, it’s called Fix +. No, it’s not used for setting your makeup. Let me tell you what it’s used for. But just how many uses can I think of this product?
The MAC website claims that it is ‘A lightweight water mist that gently soothes and refreshes skin and finishes makeup.’
I totally agree. Its an amazing spray that works beautifully for a number of things. You can use it underneath your makeup for it to act as a sort of primer to make your makeup last that much longer. You can also use it over your makeup to give you a dewy, glowing fresh look, as it finishes your makeup by eliminating the excessive powdery look. It can also be used on makeup brushes. Spray a little to wet your, say, eye shadow brush before dipping it into your eye shadow to achieve that intense pigmentation on the lids. It helps intensify any shade you wish to apply. You can also use this technique with your highlighter, however, I find that instead of spraying it on the brush before application, if you spray your entire face with it and then apply your highlighter while your face is still wet, it works much better.
I love the packaging. It’s simple, sturdy and safe to travel with. The bottle sprays a fine mist and dries quickly. However, not as fine as some other sprays out there, namely Urban Decay’s All Nighter [READ REVIEW HERE]. But I can work with it if sprayed from a good distance. It doesn’t have a strong smell nor leaves my skin feeling tacky afterwards.
You might have already noticed my HG stamp at the beginning of the page, which means that this spray is my holy grail product. So, 10/10. I love this product and nothing about it upsets me. Will always repurchase. Definitely a staple on my makeup counter.
