L.A Girl Fineline Eyeliner

Hi my angels!

Welcome back after the longest Eid holidays! I hope you all had a lovely, blessed Eid and had the best time with your friends and family. Let me know what you all got up to during the hols in the comments below!

So today I’ll be reviewing the L.A Girl Fineline Eyeliner for you. I bought this when I heard YouTuber and blogger Amelia Liana compare it to the Kat Von D. Tattoo Liner. She not just compared it, she claimed it to be better than it. I haven’t tried out the Kat Von D. one but I’ve heard so much about it and I thought that, well, if the dupe is better than that then why not give it a shot?

The product itself:

The L.A Girl Fineline Eyeliner is described on the website as,

‘Fineline fine-tip liner creates a thin, precise line in just one stroke! Pen is water-based and has a soft flexible tip for precision and control and delivers the right amount of colour.’

It comes in a lightweight packaging that is travel friendly and easy to use. It doesn’t have a feathery brush and instead sports a felt tip, my personal favourite kind of applicator in terms of eyeliner. It really does have a fine tip that is not too bendy and is sturdy in a good way.

My thoughts:

Let’s get one thing straight. As I said earlier, I have not tried the Kat Von D. Tattoo Liner so I cannot possibly compare it to that. This isn’t a comparison article; it is a review of the liner in question.

Now that being said, I do like the L.A Girl Fineline Eyeliner, but I don’t love it. I definitely missed the MUST HAVE feel the first time I applied it and the second time and the…you get the idea, right?

However, I really like the tip. It’s quite sturdy and very very fine, so you can get pretty close to the lash line and achieve a very fine line if that’s what you prefer. It is very black which is amazing and dries semi matte. You do have to be careful with touching your eyes, though. It transfers relatively easy.

My main concern with this product though, is that it was a little dry. I like my eyeliners to be slippery while applying so they don’t tug on my eyes. With this one, sadly, that wasn’t the case, which is a real shame because other than this, I think it’s a pretty decent product. It looks good, lasts a long time and is super affordable!

My verdict:

I would give it an 8/10 because it does look good at the end and has decent lasting power. Plus, it’s really very affordable. I just wish it was a teeny bit wetter.

Love,

Hiba x

Hyyyy Hiba Sameer. Thanks for the review I was juggling between this liner or my faithful essence liner pen. I’ll repurchase the essence liner now definitely after the review.
And I absolutely love the new site layout, I like it better than the previous one!
    Lots of love

      Hey lovely!
I’m glad this could be of help. I am yet to try the Essence Liner Pen. I think I’ll give it a go. My holy grail is the L’oreal Superstar Superliner (the felt tip one).
Yay, thank you! I’m so happy you do! xx

Loving the layout of your site 😍 And I think I need to try this eyeliner. I use cake eyeliners mostly.
