Hey my beautiful girls!
In today’s post I shall be talking about the things I had been loving in January. I discovered quite a few things this past month and some of them made it to my favourites list.
Huda Beauty Liquid Matte in Cheerleader
I recently went to Dubai and since we don’t have a Sephora in either Karachi or Muscat, I couldn’t keep myself away from it! I purchased this liquid lipstick in Cheerleader which is a gorgeous colour. Such colours are my personal favourite so it’s not a surprise that I’ve been wearing it quite a lot this last month.
The lipstick is highly pigmented and dries to a comfortable matte. It doesn’t bleed or dry out in flakes. However, it does transfer a bit, which bothers me a little. But all in all, I love the lipstick. Highly recommend!
Nyx Liquid Suede in Soft Spoken
I am in love with this colour! It’s such a stunning shade which instantly makes me feel so retro, especially when I pair it with a choker on my neck. It dries matte and doesn’t dry out my lips. It does transfer but not too much. Staying power is decent. I’ve been wearing it way too much!
I had never tried this brand before. Hell, I had never even heard anyone talk about it. So it’s fair to say that I never really went into the store or gave it much thought. However, recently they had a really good sale up, which compelled me to walk in and have a look. I chose to try out the bronzer. And yes, I only picked it up because of the stunning packaging and in all honesty, I didn’t expect much of it. But I was (obviously) proven wrong.
Besides the packaging and the gorgeous flower on the huge bronzer compact, the product itself is buttery smooth and has decent pigmentation. It smells pleasant and doesn’t fade off. It comes with a large, good mirror inside. I was happily surprised!
Benefit Watt’s Up!
Also from my trip to Sephora, I picked up this little gem. I had wanted it for so long it ain’t even funny. I’m all about that (bass, ‘bout that bass) highlight and lately I’ve been getting into cream and liquid highlighters. This one is a gorgeous warm champagne colour which perfectly complements my skin tone. I will be posting an in-depth review of this soon, which is why I’m not talking much about it here. But for the sake of this post, it’s AH-MAZING! As much as I love me some highlight – emphasis on the some – I’m not much for the Instagram blinding highlight or any Instagram makeup for that matter. I see talent there but girl it just looks like all the makeup in your collection vomited on your face (in a creative way). Now I wouldn’t want that. This cream to powder highlight gives me the perfect intense yet wearable glow that I covet, especially when topped up with my beloved Mary-Lou Manizer from the Balm. (Review for that HERE)
Nine West Crossbody
Since I had gotten this, I haven’t reached for any other bag in the entire of January and even now. It’s the perfect size and holds everything I need for running everyday errands. It’s in the standard boxy shape, nothing too fancy. I have mine in this yellow-y mustard colour which, oddly enough, goes with almost every outfit. Simply in love!
Forever 21 Heart Choker
Are you guys bored already of seeing me wear this choker and talk about it? Well, I’m not!
I absolutely love the hot choker trend these days but for the longest time, I was very unsure of how they would look on me. But I love it! It’s comfortable to wear, doesn’t bother my sensitive skin, looks pretty and goes with everything. Can’t wait to buy more!
Mont Blanc Lady Emblem Elixir
This was a gift from my hubby and the bottle has my name carved on it. Being given to me by Sameer makes me love it even more because I know he loves the way I smell whenever I wear it. The bottle is a beautiful rose gold. The scent is a sophisticated mix of floral, spicy and woody notes. It’s such a unique sexy blend. I love it and it’s very special to me, so I had to feature it in my favourites.
That’s all for today!
